Dayton sex offender accused of child rape

A Dayton registered sex offender who previously pleaded guilty to sexually abusing two toddlers is accused of child rape and gross sexual imposition charges.

Tyler Ulm, 25, was indicted on six felony child sex charges, including rape of a person younger than 10, rape of a person younger than 13 by force and gross sexual imposition of a person younger than 13, according to a Montgomery County grand jury report.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Feb. 25.

In October, Ulm pleaded guilty to federal child porn charges involving a 2-year-old boy and a 3-year-old boy, according to the Department of Justice Southern District of Ohio.

He reportedly abused the 2-year-old at least five times at different places in Dayton and the 3-year-old at least twice at his Dayton residence.

Ulm could be sentenced to 50 years to life in prison on the federal charges, according to the DOJ.
