A woman accused of providing her home to be used for prostitution said today she is “not a madam.”

Willona Campbell told News Center 7 when her friend was arrested for accepting cash in exchange for sexual favors she was in the wrong place at the wrong time.

“I don’t promote prostitution,” Campbell said Thursday. “I don’t knock nobody; whatever you do is what you do, but I ain’t running no ‘ho house,’” she said.

“It’s just ridiculous and it’s making us look real bad on TV,” Campbell said.

In an on-camera interview with News Center 7, she said she had no knowledge of her friend, Khalilah Scott, 35, having an advertisement posted on the Internet, and she believed the police lied.

According to the Dayton Police incident report, an undercover officer called a number advertised on the sex classified site Backpage.com on Tuesday morning and made contact with Scott. She quoted him a price of $150 and gave him directions to 444 Rockcliff Circle.

Scott told the officer she was alone, but when he arrived at the home Campbell was also there, according to the report. Campbell followed the pair to a bedroom then said, “have fun,” and left.

The officer agreed to pay Scott $150 in exchange for sex and another $50 to Campbell.

When police entered the home and arrested the two women, Campbell denied having any knowledge of the prostitution taking place in her home. She said Scott is a friend who does not live there.

Scott admitted to getting paid for oral sex twice in the past after placing ads on Backpage.com, according to the police report.
