UPDATE:

Lt. Matt Beavers of the Dayton Police Department said callers said about 7 a.m. that multiple shots were fired in the 800 and 900 blocks of Manhattan.

Callers said they thought two to four people were involved, all men believed to be about 18 to 25 and arguing.

One person is dead following a shooting on Manhattan Avenue in Dayton Friday morning, according to police.

Further details about the victim are not available at this time.

The Montgomery County coroner is on the scene.

The 800 and 900 blocks of Manhattan Avenue are closed as police continue to investigate.

The shooting was dispatched just before 7 a.m. Friday in the 800 block of Manhattan Avenue.
