2 shot when gunfire erupts at Virginia Motorsports Park concert

Two people were shot tonight during a rap concert at the Virginia Motorsports Park in Dinwiddie County, Virginia, near Petersburg.

Their injuries are not life-threatening, WVTR-TV CBS 6 reported.

There were between 10,000 and 12,000 people at the concert when the gunfire broke out. The first shot came from near the stage, and multiple shots also were fired at various locations in the venue, the station reported. Several cars also were hit by gunfire.

There are no suspects and no arrests, and the investigation is ongoing, according to CBS 6.

At least three people have been shot at a Lil Boosie concert tonight at the Virginia Motorsports Park in Dinwiddie County.

Investigators have not released any information about the shootings, and it’s unclear how many people have been shot, CBS 6 WVTR-TV in Virginia reported.

Lil Boosie is a 34-year-old rapper born Torrance Hatch who also is known as Boosie Badazz. He was among performers at the 2nd annual Spring Fest, which also included a bike rally and car show, according to the park’s website.

WVTR reported that ambulances were lined up and down Route 460 in the area of the motorsports park venue, 8018 Boydton Plank Road near Petersburg, Va.
