Former Urbana bank employee sentenced for theft

A former bank employee was sentenced to prison today, Feb. 15 for her role in a theft of over $100,000.

Kristen Head, 34, of Dublin, was sentenced to a 30-month prison sentence and three years of post-release community control.

She also has to pay back $155,000 to Security National Bank in Urbana.

Another bank employee, Kristie Shover, 46, of Urbana, was previously sentenced for her role.

The two stole over $391,000 from the bank over several years.

Shover and Head were both charged with aggravated theft, receiving stolen property and tampering with records.
