Fort Recovery student arrested on felony inducing panic charges

Fort Recovery Local Schools said in a release that one of its high school students was arrested on a felony charge of inducing panic for threats made, though what the threats were is unclear.

The arrest followed a joint investigation led by Fort Recovery Police Department assisted by the Mercer County Sheriff's Office, St. Henry Police Department and the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office.

Superintendent Justin M. Firks said the district is working with law enforcement to best ensure the safety of students and staff, and stressed that the safety of its students, staff and campus are its top priority.
