According to records from Montgomery County Regional Dispatch, officers responded to the house after receiving a 911 call from McDonald’s wife at around 9:45 p.m. Friday reporting that McDonald was drunk, had fired a gun in the house and then demanded his wife call police. During the call McDonald repeatedly tells his wife to leave and eventually attacks her.

After arrival, police ordered McDonald to leave the house, and after he ignored the orders and released his dogs out of the rear of the house, police called in a SWAT response.
Scanner indicated that law enforcement deployed flash bang devices and tear gas to try to get McDonald to leave the house.

Officers received a search warrant to enter the house shortly after midnight, but continued issuing commands, according to dispatch records.
McDonald was finally taken into custody at just after 3 a.m. He is due in court Oct. 15.
