UPDATE @ 12:36 p.m., April 17: The alleged victims in the armed robbery that led to Thursday's high-speed pursuit worked for Queen City Theater Design and were in Dayton to sell home stereo equipment out of a 1999 black Chevrolet S-10 Blazer, a police report indicated.

The report showed two men from the Dayton, Kentucky, company stopped at an oil/muffler shop on North Main Street when they approached two men in a white SUV in the parking lot and asked them if they were interested in buying a home stereo system.

The males were interested, one made a phone call and the men tried to bargain about price before following the victims to 2334 Davue Circle, the report stated. The Queen City Theater Design workers showed the men the stereo equipment before one suspect grabs the victim’s shirt, is holding a gun and yells, “Give me the money, I will … kill you.”

After the alleged victim breaks free, one suspect shot into the ground and the victim lays back down before the suspect takes him to the back of the vehicle and starts going through his pockets, the report said.

One suspect allegedly took $300 and a victim’s key ring and ordered the victim to sit in his vehicle as the suspects put three boxes of stereo equipment in their vehicle, the report stated.

“Both suspects got into their vehicle, started to leave but stopped in front of the victims’ vehicle, yelled at the victims and fired two more shots in an unknown direction,” the report said. The report said the white SUV went west-bound on Davue.

UPDATE @ 10:25 p.m.: Two of three suspects in the armed robbery that led to a high-speed pursuit that involved at least three law enforcement agencies are in jail and are expected to go before a judge in their initial appearance in court on Friday.

Londell Leon Johnson Jr., 19, and Davion Rayshaw McComb, 18, were booked into the Montgomery County Jail following their arrests on West Third Street, according to online jail records. Each man is being detained on a single count of aggravated robbery.

The name of the third male — who bailed from the white SUV as it sped along city streets in an attempt to elude police — was not available after several checks of online records.

UPDATE @ 4:38 p.m.: An armed robbery for audio speakers and cash, with shots fired at the victims, led to a high-speed police pursuit that ended several city blocks later with the arrests of three males.

“These are pretty bad customers who needed to be taken into custody,” Dayton police Maj. Matt Carper told reporters.

Two of the suspects were arrested at the end of the pursuit — West Third and Trenton streets, in the parking lot of an Auto Zone store. A third suspect was arrested after he bailed from the white SUV during the pursuit and tried to run from police, Carper said.

All three males are being questioned by police this afternoon.

The entire incident began on Davue Circle just after 2 p.m. with an armed robbery of two males for their speakers and cash, Carper said. The assailants fired at least two times at their victims, but the victims were not hit by the gunfire.

Officers on patrol saw the suspect vehicle and engaged it in a pursuit that covered several surface streets and the Trotwood Connector, Carper said. The pursuit lasted several minutes and included Dayton police, Montgomery County sheriff’s deputies and Trotwood police.

No shots were fired at police during the pursuit and no there were no traffic accidents resulting from the pursuit, Carper said.

“The driver of this vehicle committed some pretty serious violations and will be charged as such,” the major said.
