Man arrested on OVI charges for sixth time in Springfield

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers have charged a New Carlisle man with operating under the influence for the sixth time.

Justin Koehler, 40, was stopped for speeding on Limestone Street. During the stop, he showed signs of impairment and admitted to consuming alcohol at a local bar.

His blood alcohol content was found to be over 0.17 percent. Ohio’s legal driving limit is .08.

Koehler has five prior OVI convictions, beginning in 2001. At the time of the traffic stop, he was already under a habitual alcoholic driving suspension.

He is set to appear Thursday in the Clark County Municipal Court.
