The men were arrested in connection to an investigation launched by Brookville Police and Englewood Police after YouTube videos allegedly showed the men trying to meet up with a 15-year-old boy for sex. Instead, they were captured on camera by a self-described vigilante, who then uploaded the videos online.
In court documents, investigators say Curtis used the app Grinder and “agreed to meet with what he thought was a 15-year-old boy to have lunch and have sex with him.”

“Curtis is 50 years old and gave a verbal and written confession,” the statement of facts filed in Montgomery County Municipal Court says.
Curtis is being held in Montgomery County Jail on a $15,000 bond, according to jail records.
According to Brookville Police press release, the two agencies were alerted to the West video on Tuesday. West was arrested and booked into the Montgomery County Jail after a police investigation.
“On Feb. 17, the defendant began chatting on the social media app called Grinder with a (man) who was posing as a 15-year-old male,” a statement of facts filed in Vandalia Municipal Court says. “The defendant went to (the man’s) house in order to meet a 15-year-old boy. When the defendant arrived to the residence, he was confronted by (the man) who video recorded the encounter and then posted the video on social media under the YouTube name of Predator Poachers Dayton.”

“The defendant provided a written statement and the verbal interview was video recorded,” the court document says.
A $10,000 bond was set in West’s case.
