A Dayton man is facing murder charges in the shooting death of a man in August found seriously injured in a car on Needmore Road in Dayton.

Marvin M. Herron, 23, was charged with two counts of murder, two counts of felonious assault and one count of discharge of a firearm on or near prohibited premises, according to the Montgomery County Prosecutor’s Office.
He is scheduled to appear in court Dec. 17.
On Aug. 14, police responded to a car crash in the 1600 block of Needmore Road in Dayton. A severely injured man, Matthew Aalim, was found inside the car and taken to Miami Valley Hospital.

Once at the hospital it was discovered that Aalim had been shot in the head.
He died from his injuries.
An investigation revealed that Herron was in a second vehicle. He is accused of firing the shotfired the shot that killed Aalim, according to the prosecutor’s office.
In September, Herron was identified as a suspect and charged in Aalim’s death. A warrant was issued for his arrest.
He was booked into jail on Dec. 1, according to Miami Valley Jails records.
