Man indicted on kidnapping in attempted sexual assault

A 31-year-old man accused of holding three women at gunpoint and attempting to sexually assault one was indicted Tuesday by a grand jury.

Jake Lee Abston Sr. is facing two counts of kidnapping, one count of abduction and two counts of having a weapon while under disability, according to a Montgomery County grand jury report.

The incident allegedly happened Dec. 21 at a South Torrence Street home, according to court documents.

Police said Abston hit one of the three women before showing a handgun and keeping the women from leaving.

He took the magazine out of the gun, point the weapon at one of the women and then pulled the trigger, read court documents.

He also choked two of the women and tried to force one to perform a sex act, said police.

Abston is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 7.
