UPDATE @ 3:14 p.m.:
A man indicted on charges related to a two-year-old’s injuries in 2012 is the same man who was convicted in connection to the death of Klonda Richey, who was mauled by dogs outside her Dayton home in February 2014.
Andrew Nason was indicted today in a different case on two counts of child endangering and a single count of felonious assault in connection to injuries his girlfriend’s daughter sustained in September 2012, prosecutors said.
According to prosecutors, the two-year-old victim was transported to Dayton Children’s Hospital with significant head trauma.
After being convicted in the Richey case, Nason was released from the Montgomery County Jail Sept. 27 this year after serving 150 days for midemeanor charges of failure to control dogs.
The judge in the Richey case ordered staggered sentences, so Nason could help care for his three children with his girlfriend at the time, Julie Custer.
