Larry D. Greth is being held in the Montgomery County Jail on a $500,000 bond and is scheduled to appear Tuesday for his arraignment in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court.

Greth was involved in a Dec. 9, 2019, police chase that ended after he entered I-75 North the wrong way from Ohio 725 near the Dayton Mall and ended up spinning out and crashing in the median of the highway in Miami Twp.

Springboro police said the pursuit — which involved officers from Springboro, Miami Twp., Washington Twp. and Dayton — was in connection to an investigation into several burglaries in Dayton and Springboro.

A task force formed to help identify those responsible for the burglaries, and on Dec. 9, the task force observed man drive to a house in Miami Twp. and force entry into a home in the 7300 block of Mad River Road.

The suspect, identified as Greth, got into his car and fled when officers attempted to stop him. He also ran away after crashing his car but later was apprehended, police said.
