Man indicted on murder charge in South Broadway Street shooting
He is accused in the Feb. 9 shooting death of 40-year-old Corleone Lewis, who reportedly tried to break up an argument.
According to a court affidavit, Johnson was involved in a verbal altercation that started on the front porch of a South Broadway Street home. The fight turned physical, and that’s when Lewis attempted to stop it.
Johnson reportedly pulled out a gun and fired two rounds in the direction of three people, including Lewis.
Lewis was hit, according to authorities.
Another person was shot in the ankle and crawled away through the yard, according to court documents.

That person heard another round of gunfire, but was unsure where that came from.
Police later determined that Johnson was shot in the arm during that second round.
