U.S. marshals arrested Eva Villamor-Goubeaux, 38, on Feb. 27 in Las Vegas. The Miami County Sheriff's Office issued a warrant for Villamor-Goubeaux on Feb. 5 for interference with custody.
Goubeaux, who said his ex-wife ran off with the little girl after losing custody, feared he might never see his daughter again. Goubeaux thought his ex-wife might take Teresa to the Philippines.
Goubeaux last saw his daughter right before Thanksgiving, when he returned the child to her mother after a scheduled visitation. Troy police later received information that Villamor-Goubeaux possibly had fled the state with the girl.
Investigators from the U.S. Marshals Service in Dayton and Las Vegas determined that Villamor-Goubeaux was working in Las Vegas as a home health care provider.
Villamor-Goubeaux will remain in Las Vegas until she is extradited back to Ohio.
