Brandenburg was babysitting and was an innocent victim, killed when she came outside the house following a disturbance, investigators said.

Defense attorney Ben Swift said Parisi-King has been refused prescribed medication at the Montgomery County Jail. When asked by Montgomery County Common Pleas Court Judge Gregory Singer what she was being denied, Parisi-King said depression and bipolar medication.
Swift also said Parisi-King has no adult felony convictions, a residence to stay in locally and family support. Swift wanted his client’s bond reduced to $250,000 with pretrial supervision.

“The state’s aware that Ms. Parisi-King is pregnant,” Montgomery County assistant prosecutor Anthony Schoen said. “It was her decision to do what she’s alleged to have done in that condition. The state doesn’t believe that’s a reason for a reduction in bond.”
Schoen said Parisi-King has the same charges as her co-defendants and that her mother and step-father both were convicted of obstruction of justice in this case.

Parisi-King was indicted on two counts of complicity to commit murder, complicity to felonious assault, complicity to the discharge of a firearm on or near a prohibited premises and tampering with evidence.
Police said Parisi-King helped boyfriend Chuckie Lee get a semi-automatic pistol and transport him to 77 Huffman Ave., where Brandenburg,20, was shot outside a residence where she was babysitting. A third person, Evans Cassell III also was charged in the case.

After fleeing from law enforcement, Parisi-King was apprehended at the Red Roof Inn in Fairborn.
Singer granted the request for another competency evaluation and said those results would be ready by July 18. The judge said he would rule later on Parisi-King’s bond request.
