Officers investigate Xenia McDonald’s break-in, theft

UPDATE @ 8:15 a.m.:

An unknown amount of money was stolen during a break-in early Saturday morning from a McDonald’s restaurant, Xenia police detective Jeff Moore said.

Someone cut open the safe with an unknown tool around 1:30 a.m. after entering the location at 1645 N. Detroit St. by prying open the drive-through window.

No suspect description is available at this time.

FIRST REPORT:

Police responded to a report of a break-in around 5 a.m. at the McDonald’s at 1645 N. Detroit St. in Xenia.

Initial reports indicated that someone broke through the back window and cut a hole in the safe.

Officers are investigating.
