OSP: 700 arrests made in multi-state impaired driving campaign

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a recent enforcement and awareness effort on impaired driving as part of a multi-state law enforcement partnership resulted in a total of 700 arrests for driving under the influence.

From Dec. 7 through 9, 280 of the arrests were made in Ohio.

The 6-State Trooper Project is a multi-state law enforcement partnership aimed at providing combined and coordinated law enforcement and security services in the areas of highway safety, criminal patrol and information sharing.

In addition to OSP, the campaign included state police from Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
