Miami County Municipal Court Judge Samuel Huffman convicted Richard T. Bryant Jr. following a bench trial.

He was accused of firing a BB gun Jan. 27 at a 6-year-old boy, Piqua police Lt. Jerry Fogt said previously.

Bryant and the child’s mother, Heather M. Behm, were arrested after police were called to the home in the 300 block of Third Street in Piqua after a neighbor reported that a boy was crying after he had been made to stand in the cold.

Also, the case against Behm was dismissed Friday in Miami County Common Pleas Court, online court records show.

Huffman ordered a pre-sentence investigation for Bryant, whose sentencing has not yet been scheduled.
