A Piqua man pleaded guilty to the April 23 robbery of the Piqua Burger King and was sentenced to six years in prison Friday.

Steven A. Bixler, 34, was indicted by a Miami County grand jury on one count of felony aggravated robbery with a knife. Police said a man entered the Covington Avenue business around 10 p.m., displayed a knife and left with an undisclosed amount of money.

No one was injured. Bixler was arrested a short time later near the business.

He pleaded no contest in county Common Pleas Court on July 2 and was found guilty by Judge Christopher Gee. Bixler waived a pre-sentence investigation and was sentenced during the same hearing to the prison term.
