An officer attempted to pull the driver over after getting a weapons complaint from someone at a nearby Burger King restaurant. However, when the driver saw the officer, he fled and the officer disengaged, police said.

Moments later, the officer noticed the crash and attempted to assist the driver, who was trapped in the vehicle.

Fire crews then extracted the driver, whose name has not been released, and he was taken to a local hospital.
