Police seek wedding ring thieves

Police say man and boy stole three bridal ring sets from an oulet mall jewelry store.

MONROE — Police are asking for help in identifying a man and a boy who allegedly stole three diamond bridal ring sets Tuesday morning from Ultra Diamonds at Cincinnati Premium Outlets.

The man distracted the store clerk while the juvenile reached over the counter and took a display of rings, said Monroe police Detective Doug Leist.

“Both appear to have been working together to commit the theft,” he said.

The pair entered the store at 10:20 a.m., according to police.

The adult is described as a heavy set black male between 35 and 40 years old who was wearing a black hat and a black coat with red stripes on the sleeves with a patch or insignia on the back.

The juvenile was described as a black male between 9 and 11 years of age who was waring a black hat, jeans and a hooded sweatshirt with the letters “AR” on one side and “EO” on the other.
