UPDATE @ 11:10 p.m.

Security enhancements alerted the owner of Target Tool Friday night to a trespasser, and he called police.

“We located one gentlemen actively stealing from the business,” Moraine police Sgt. Chris Selby said. “There was a short foot pursuit and he was arrested at the Marathon station across the street.”

Selby identified him as 53-year-old Michael T. Ferryman of Xenia. He was booked into the Montgomery County Jail on suspicion of breaking and entering and obstructing official business.

FIRST REPORT

A police K-9 team is tracking someone trespassing at Target Tool after another suspect was taken into custody.

Police were called to the business at 2550 Dryden Road in Moraine sometime around 8:40 p.m. for a report of two men trespassing.

The K-9 team was from Kettering.

It’s not clear whether they were able to break into the business, nor whether they took anything.

Moraine has had some trouble with trespassers lately.
