Robinson was killed with a handgun under aggravated circumstances at his Elkins Avenue home, about two blocks from West Third Street, according to Trotwood police documents obtained by the Dayton Daily News in a public records request.
Robinson died from a gunshot wound to the torso, according to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office. The office ruled his death a homicide.

Police documents filed March 28 state the offenders of the shooting are unknown. Trotwood police on Friday afternoon did not immediately respond when asked if anyone has been arrested or charged with killing Robinson.
Two men connected to the homicide are facing charges following the police chase that ended in Cincinnati the day of the shooting.
Both remain in the Hamilton County Justice Center, but neither are facing charges directly relating to Robinson’s death, according to jail records.
The driver, William J. Denny II, 34, was charged with failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

Dustin A. Hatfield Sr., 27, a passenger in the vehicle, is facing tampering with evidence and failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer.
Around 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Miamisburg police found a 2001 Mercury GMQ believed to be driven by two suspects — later identified as Denny and Hatfield — connected to Robinson’s death.
Police started a chase, with troopers intervening on Interstate 75 south near Franklin Twp.
As the chase neared Cincinnati, troopers used tire deflation devices, which deflated the car’s tires. The chase continued, with suspects throwing items from the car, according to OSHP.
Shortly after, Denny lost control of the car and crashed into a median at exit 1A.
Denny and Hatfield suffered injuries that were not serious and were taken into custody.
