Prison guard charged with sex with inmate in Warren County

Ari D. Combs, 30, of Trenton, is scheduled for arraignment on a sexual battery charge, a third-degree felony, at 8:30 a.m. Jan. 3 in Warren County Common Pleas Court, according to a list of indictments released on Monday by the Warren County Prosecutor’s Office.

Combs was placed on “non-contact post” on Nov. 1 and on leave Monday, according to JoEllen Smith, spokesperson for the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction.

The non-contact post consisted of perimeter patrol, having no contact with the incarcerated population, Smith added.

The case against Combs was filed on Monday and assigned to Judge Robert Peeler, according to court records.

No other information was immediately available on the case.
