FIRST REPORT

Six people were arrested last week during prostitution stings in Butler Twp.

This happened at a hotel on Miller Lane.

Rob Streck, acting police chief, Butler Twp., said the stings happened Feb. 17-18 by a group of local agencies called R-Storm, which formed to help each other with manpower issues.

The officers used website advertisements to lure the men and woman to the hotel, he said.

“One of the main goals of that … is a look at human trafficking and make sure we’re battling the human trafficking and also the prostitution,” Streck said.

He said it’s also a way to trespass individuals from the Miller Lane hotels.
