She said she got a call at around 4:15 a.m. Thursday and she immediately headed to the scene. But, she said it wasn’t until later on she found out her brother had died, shot to death in the parking lot of Rick’s Jazz Club.
“The way it was classified to us that there was a fight that broke out and, on his way out of the club, he was shot several times coming out the door,” she said. “Then there is another story that he didn’t even go into the club, that he was sitting inside the car. I don’t know what story is true right now.”
Another man — who still hasn’t been identified by police — was also shot Thursday morning at the club. Nishelle Harris said it is her understanding that the man was an “innocent bystander.”

“Nobody deserves to lose their life, no one.” Nishelle Harris. “It doesn’t matter if they do bad out here or what, they don’t deserve to lose their life.”
Nishelle Harris said her family needs to find out why her brother died and they need closure.
Brandon Harris was shot to death at around 3 a.m. Thursday. About seven hours later, 33-year-old Clarence Brown was shot and killed about 100 feet away from where Harris was slain.
Police said it is still unclear whether the two incidents are related, but said it appears the arguments were separate incidents.
