Sobriety checkpoint to take place in Dayton later this week

The OVI Task Force of Montgomery County will have a sobriety checkpoint in Dayton later this this week.

During a sobriety checkpoint on May 22 in Dayton, 542 vehicles were stopped. Five people were tested for driving while intoxicated and four were arrested.

Police found 31 other infractions.

In 2019, there were 13 fatal alcohol- or drug-related crashes in Montgomery County, according to Dayton police.
