At Monday’s hearing, Judge Donald Oda II indicated he planned to put Nichols on probation, provided she repay the league $175,000.
During the hearing, Oda released Nichols from electronic monitoring pending sentencing in about two months.
She has served almost six months in jail after not being able to post a $750,000 bond.
Dave Meester, the baseball association’s commissioner, issued the following statement Monday afternoon:
“We as an organization are pleased with today’s results. It is a sigh of relief for this to be admitted by her in court and we look to the future of the league. We are please[d] that the truth has been revealed.
“The league is now recovering and thriving with the new leadership and board we have in place. We have already been able to reinvest in the community and look forward to making the SCBA the go to program in the future.”

The missing money first came to light in 2017 when a new board member, a Certified Public Accountant, began looking into the organization’s finances and discovered no Form 990 had been filed with the IRS, outlining the group’s financial status, Fornshell said at the time of the indictment.
