Suspicious activity leads to SWAT search in West Carrollton, 3 arrests

Police and a SWAT team searched a West Carrollton home on Minstrel Drive Wednesday morning.

Officers responded around 1 a.m. to the 1400 block of Minstrel Drive on a report of suspicious activity. The investigation led to a search warrant, which was executed by police with assistance from the regional SWAT team.

Three people were arrested and booked into the Montgomery County Jail on suspicion of aggravated robbery; however, they are awaiting the filing of formal charges.

The three people arrested were: Bryon Michael Compton, 35; Ashley Ann Fields, 29; and Louis Marrero, 46. Compton also is facing a felony drug possession charge and Marrero a misdemeanor falsification charge, jail records show.

Police said the incident was not believed to be random. The investigation is ongoing but police were not releasing further details at this time.
