Ramsdale was driving a blue 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier shortly before 9:30 p.m. Feb. 18 when he tried to pass a Chevrolet Equinox headed south on Ohio 134, according to a release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s Wilmington Post.
The teen’s vehicle rear-ended the SUV, driven by Daniel Mayo, 63, of New Vienna, and then went left of center and struck a northbound 2002 Buick Century head-on. The Buick, driven by 24-year-old Zachary Russell of Wilmington, traveled off the left side of the roadway, according to the highway patrol’s crash report.
Ramsdale’s vehicle then spun and was struck by a 2000 Ford Taurus driven by 22-year-old Kyler Brook-Gaddis of Wilmington. The impact forced Ramsdale’s vehicle off the left side of the roadway, where it caught fire, according to the crash report.
