Trotwood duo accused of stealing thousands of dollars in food aid

Two Trotwood residents are accused of defrauding Montgomery County Department of Job & Family Services of food assistance.

Anthony Hibbit Jr., 34, and Patricia Hibbit, 43, each were indicted Wednesday on a felony charge of theft by deception, according to a Montgomery County grand jury report.

According to the indictment, they received between $1,000 and $7,500 in assistance between March 1, 2014, and Aug. 1, 2017, that they shouldn’t have.

They are ordered to appear Nov. 9 for arraignment in Montgomery County Common Pleas Court.
