Troy break-in suspects caught in act

Two people are facing possible charges of breaking and entering after they were caught about four blocks away from a break-in at Carl's Cruise this morning.

Officers responded to the business, 929 West Main Street, shortly before 6 a.m. when the store's owner arrived and spotted the suspects breaking out a side window of the business.

The two people took off on foot and a deputy on patrol spotted the suspects about four blocks from the scene and took them into custody, authorities said.

Allen Harlow, 19, of Troy, was arrested on charges of attempted breaking and entering, possession of criminal tools, underage consumption of alcohol and possession of drug paraphernalia. Tyler Moore, 18, of Troy, faces charges of breaking and entering, CCW and possession of criminal tools. Police said Moore was armed with a BB gun.

Officers don't believe the suspects made it into the business before the owner spotted them.

The two suspects are being questioned at the Troy Police Department.
