Kettering truck theft suspect arrested near Moraine Walmart

A man wanted in connection to the theft of a truck at a UDF store on East Dorothy Lane is in custody, Kettering police said.

The suspect, whose name has not been released, was taken into custody in a parking lot near the Moraine Walmart around 3:30 p.m. Two medics also were on the scene and a person was seen being loaded onto one them, however it’s unclear who that person was.

The black 2009 GMC truck was reported stolen between 7:30 to 7:40 a.m. at the 2200 E. Dorothy Lane store.

The truck had last been seen heading east on Dorothy Lane.

Police posted an image of the male suspect to their Facebook page, asking anyone who can identify the suspect to contact them.

However, a tweet sent by the police department shortly after said the suspect had been identified.
