Twin brothers have identical not guilty pleas, bonds in Dayton carjacking case

Twin 18-year-old brothers accused of an April carjacking in Dayton had identical pleas and bonds set during their arraignments today in Montgomery County Pleas Court.

Javan and Jaylen Gregory had bond set at $50,000 each, and the court entered not guilty pleas for them.

Twin 18-year-old brothers are both due in court Thursday, accused in a Dayton carjacking.

Javan and Jaylen Gregory each were indicted for aggravated robbery and grand theft of a motor vehicle, which both come with three-year gun specifications, and improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, according to a Montgomery County grand jury report released Tuesday.

The twins are accused in the April 20 theft of a maroon Oldsmobile sedan, online court records show. They are both in the Montgomery County Jail, where they’ve been held since their April 20 arrests in Dayton.

In addition, Jaylen Gregory, the accused driver, is charged with failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer.
