2 Urbana University students arrested in gunfire incident in dorm

UPDATE 2:15 a.m. (Nov. 9): Two Urbana University students have been arrested in the shots fired incident Tuesday that led to a campus lockdown.

Campus police said they received a report of a gunshot fired on campus near a dormitory around 2 p.m.

Urbana police on Thursday confirmed a weapon was discharged during an altercation involving several people in a room at the Sycamore Hall dormitory.

No one was hurt, but police found fragments of the fired slug in the dorm room, according to Urbana police.

Thursday, Urbana police arrested Ryon W.A. Lucas, 21, of Trotwood, on suspicion of aggravated robbery.

He is currently booked on an aggravated robbery charge, according to the Tri County Regional Jail site.

Lucas’ bond is set at $20,000 and his next court date is scheduled for this morning, records show.

Wednesday, Hunter P. Donnan, 18, of Huber Heights, was booked into the Tri-County Jail on suspicion of trafficking in drugs (marijuana) and possessing criminal tools, police said.

Donnan is not currently listed on an jail sites.

Urbana police said the incident remains under investigation, but called it an isolated incident with no lingering danger on campus.
