Dayton police identified 27-year-old Shaquille Shackleford as a person of interest in the shooting around 8:20 p.m. Monday in the 1600 block of Darst Avenue.
A man was shot multiple times and was taken to a local hospital. His name and condition were not available, but dispatch records indicated the gunshot victim was conscious when emergency crews arrived.
