Marqui Conley, 26, of Middletown, remains on the loose, charged in connection with a regional drug investigation.

Marqui Conley, 26, of Middletown, remains on the loose, charged in connection with a regional drug investigation.

A wanted member of an alleged Middletown-based drug ring continued to use a self-storage unit in Warren County to do drug business while evading authorities, according to court documents.

Drug agents searched Unit 419 at the Lovejoy Self Storage in Monroe last Friday as part of their investigation of the All States Drug Trafficking Organization (DTO), according to the warrant returned Wednesday in Warren County Common Pleas Court.

The storage unit was searched after investigators determined Marqui Conley, (aka “Keyman”) of Middletown, used a credit card to pay the monthly rent.

Conley was the man wanted by authorities who closed off an area of Springboro in May. Conley was not arrested, but a 2016 Mercedes Benz, one of 20 cars seized by authorities, was removed from a garage in Springboro.

“Within the past 72 hours members of Middletown Police Special Operations Unit and FBI have received reliable information that Marqui Conley is still continuing his drug trafficking and picking the proceeds up from other individuals in or around the City of Middletown,” Middletown Detective Tim Meehan said in the search warrant affidavit.

Conley, Benwan Edwards, 25, of Miamisburg, Joseph Lee Singletary Jr (aka “Joker”), Will Dan Owens V of Middletown, Hailey Perry Meeks of Middletown and Tyrese Antonio Robinson (aka “Moneybags”) are all charged with multiple counts of conspiracy to possess and possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

“Members of Special Operations Unit observed video that was recorded on 6-15-19 showing a vehicle and individuals using unit #419. In this video there is a subject that is similar in appearance and physical stature of Marqui Conley,” Meehan said in the affidavit.

Meehan alleged Conley and other members of the drug ring were using the Monroe storage unit, as well as others throughput the region, to store drugs, money, cars “and other proceeds.”

Court documents filed with the search warrant did not indicate what, if anything, was seized during the search.

A check of Butler and Warren county jails indicated Conley apparently remained free on Wednesday.
