The caller “warns the recipient of the call they have missed a court date and an arrest warrant has been issued. The recipient must pay fees to have the warrant for their arrest lifted. They instruct you to purchase Moneypak cards, which can be purchased at most local retailers, and have money loaded onto the cards and to call them back with the card number,” according to the warning.

The calls are reportedly coming from 513-299 7859. This is “not associated in any way with the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, nor does this office call the public to collect money,” according to the press release.
“We urge anyone who has received these types of calls to contact their local law enforcement agency to report the incident. Also, be mindful there are times when these scammers will represent themselves as members of our office by using actual agency member names, which are available on our website. When in doubt, report the incident and limit your conversation with them.”
