Cubbie said he got his daughters, Khloe Burns, 10, and Braleigh Cubbie, 6, a few makeup pallets from Five Below for Christmas. He said he never buys his girls makeup and tells them women can be pretty without makeup, but they wanted to play with it.
They asked him if they could do his face, and he couldn’t say no, he said. After he posted the photo, “it just went viral.”
“They’re just little girls, they’re just having fun, and there ain’t nothing wrong with that,” he said.
Cubbie also has a son, Kane Cubbie, 4, who he said is an athlete and whose soccer game he attended on Saturday.
Cubbie said his girls were “so smart” and he had always wanted a little girl when he knew he wanted kids.
“They got me wrapped around their finger, and they know it,” he said. “But they’re really, really good girls. Especially my oldest, she’s so smart. They’re good kids.”
Cubbie said since his tweet had gone viral, he felt he should get his daughters some nicer makeup pallets from Ulta, and maybe make them a YouTube channel where they could have fun.
A few Twitter users asked if the girls had a makeup channel.
Other dads of daughters posted their photos of their little girls doing makeup.
“I love being a parent, it’s literally the hardest, most rewarding job ever,” Cubbie said. “I always tell people, being a dad is the best thing I know about me. It’s the best part about me. My kids, they give me life.”
