Dayton dog on roof prompts police response

A dog on a roof prompted police and animal resource response in Dayton Tuesday morning.

Around 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, Dayton police and Animal Resource Center officials were called to a roof in the 700 block of North Avenue.

A mixed breed black and white dog was loose and aggressive on the roof of the home. The dog eventually walked back inside a window.

A second dog was chained to a tree.

ARC officers left a note on the door that the two dogs are not licensed.
