Dayton, KKK rally agreement: What’s the Klan supposed to leave at home?

The city of Dayton and a Ku Klux Klan group agreed on a consent decree limiting the movement of Honorable Sacred Knights members and prohibiting them from carrying or wearing certain items when they rally at Courthouse Square.

According to the agreement filed in court Monday, the Honorable Sacred Knights group is not allowed to bring these on May 25:

  • Assault rifles
  • Bats
  • Body armor
  • Open Flames
  • Knives
  • Long guns
  • Military uniforms
  • Police uniforms
  • Rifles
  • Shields
  • Shotguns
  • Tactical vests

The Honorable Sacred Knights based in Madison, Ind. has agreed to a number of other terms with Dayton, but still plan to wear side arms and keep their faces covered.
