The largest indoor shopping center in the Dayton area also recently announced the opening of furniture store The Roomplace in a newly created space.
“We’re excited for the openings of Ross Dress for Less and The RoomPlace, as they bring in-demand retail options to our guests,” said Dave Duebber, general manager of the Dayton Mall. “Our goal is to add diverse tenants while we continue to enhance the overall experience for our guests and further strengthen Dayton Mall as a gathering place for the community. We believe the additions of Ross Dress for Less and The Room Place are further steps in that direction.”
The Dayton Daily News was the first to report that Ross Dress For Less planned to open a store at the mall based on Miami Twp. records.

A second area Ross Dress For Less store is expected to open in Beavercreek at 2720 Towne Drive at the Shoppes of Beavercreek, according to Greene County records.
The company is expanding rapidly, recently hiking its projections to open about 2,400 locations nationwide, up from its prior target of 2,000. The closest location currently is in Indianapolis.
The Dayton Mall is one of the most impacted by Elder-Beerman and Sears closures, losing two anchor stores on opposite ends of the mall. The mall’s owner Washington Prime Group does not own either box to redevelop, but have said they are working with the property owners of Sears to determine the future of the space.
