There are no signs of foul play after a woman’s body was found Monday morning at Possum Creek MetroPark.

Five Rivers MetroParks rangers and the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office are investigating after park staff found the woman’s body just before 10 a.m. on the side of the road near the horse trail by the park’s entrance, MetroParks Chief of Public Safety Mark Hess said.

The deceased woman found at the park at 4790 Frytown Road in Dayton appeared to be in her late 20s to early 30s, rangers said, but she has not yet been identified.

There were “no apparent signs of foul play,” Hess said.

The coroner’s office is working to determine what caused the woman’s death.

The park remains open to visitors.
