Wabler, 63, is the first Dayton native to serve as UD’s Director of Athletics. He is a 1974 Dayton graduate and was a three-time pitcher of the year for the baseball team. He began working in the athletic department in 1993 and took over his current role in 2008.

He has been an invaluable member of our University community who has worked tirelessly to build our reputation as a leading institution in college athletics,” University of Dayton President Daniel J.
