CareFlight takes driver to hospital after vehicle hits pole; knocks out power for thousands

Emergency crews had to cut the driver out of the vehicle. Their condition is not known, but they were alert and conscious.

The crash resulting in thousands of Dayton Power & Light customers losing power in the area. As many as 3,049 were without service, with nearly 3,000 of those customer in the West Milton area, according to the DP&L Outage Map.

As of 12:05 p.m., power had been restored to most, with only 135 outages remaining.
