The boy, who was arrested Tuesday following police questioning, entered a plea of denial to a charge of inducing panic on school grounds, a second-degree felony.
A plea of denial in the juvenile court system is the equivalent of a not guilty plea in adult criminal court.
Juvenile Judge Joseph W. Kirby ordered the boy to remain in the county Juvenile Detention Center and set a pre-trial hearing for Sept. 17.
In addition, Kirby prohibited the boy from access or use of social media or the Internet unless it is used for educational purposes and that usage must be supervised by an appropriate adult.
