Goodwill sets opening date for new Huber Heights store

Goodwill plans to open its new Huber Heights Sulphur Grove store at 10 a.m. June 15 — the first of four new stores scheduled for this year.

The store — located in the Sulphur Grove shopping plaza on Brandt Pike near Interstate 70 — will be the second Goodwill location in Huber Heights and the 28th retail location overall.

The Huber Heights Sulphur Grove Goodwill store hours will be 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays.

The new 15,000-square-foot standalone store sits on a 3.7-acre parcel in front of Walmart. The cost of the project was about $2 million and the new store will create an estimated 24 new jobs, the city said last year.

Goodwill’s other store in Huber Heights is at 5058 Brandt Pike.

Other new Goodwill stores expected to open this year are Dayton (Miller Lane), Van Wert and a store in Lima that also will serve as space for Goodwill Easter Seals Miami Valley’s northern programs.
