Ronan, 28, of Springboro, was being held in the county jail in Lebanon on $60,000 bond, pending his arraignment this morning in Warren County Common Pleas Court, according to jail records.
The obstruction of justice charge is a felony and could result in the case being reviewed by a grand jury.
Ronan, who was serving in the U.S. Air Force in July, posted his arrest on Facebook Live. The content has since been removed.

A run sheet indicates police were called to 244 Creekside Drive in Springboro at 12:22 p.m. Saturday, and it lists “fighting subject. 1M detained” two minutes later.
He was booked into the jail in Lebanon by Springboro Officer Randy Peagler at 2:46 a.m. Saturday, according to jail records.

Locally, Ronan ran against Congressman Steve Chabot in the May Republican primary, and two years ago as a Democrat, he contested the election of State Rep. Scott Lipps.
Ronan also ran for Democratic National Committee chairman in 2017 and gained attention in appearances on CNN.
In 2016, Ronan told the Dayton Daily News said he got political after the government shutdown in 2013 left him and others in the military unsure if they would be getting paychecks. In 2016, he indicated he had left the military.
In May, he received just under 20 percent of the vote; in November 2016, just over 21 percent, according to election records.
He was scheduled for arraignment at 10 a.m. today.
